The windy season in Cayman runs from November through to April, with winds generally coming from the NE between 15-25 knots. The rest of the year, the wind generally comes from the SE and ranges 5-15 knots and tends to be rather intermittent. The hurricane season runs from June to November, in which time anything is possible!
